What do you like most about where you currently live?

My house is situated in a small country town in Herefordshire. The countryside is out the front door, I love the countryside.

What do you enjoy most about your current job?

As a retired Managing Director and Consulting Engineer I am enjoying the freedom to do what and go where I like.

What are your favourite leisure activities?

Walking my dog for longish countryside walks and taking my caravan around the UK countryside. I usually travel a week or so each month from March to November.

Where in the world are your favourite places?

Venice, Florence, French countryside (not Paris) and New York.

Where in the world would you love to visit?

Havana in Cuba and Vietnam

What would you do on an ideal date?

Listen and talk, probably over a meal in a good restaurant.

What are you looking for in a partner?

Intelligence and honesty.

What makes a good relationship?

A meaningful friendship

What makes you laugh?

I laugh often, but rarely at modern comedians. My dog makes me smile and frequently laugh.

What music do you like?

Opera, Classical Music, Jazz and Blues (original and rhythm).

What has been the highlight of your life so far?

My work, which probably means I have never worked a day in my life. Two children and six grandchildren and of course my dog (I have had dogs all my life).

What are you looking forward to in the future?

Waking up tomorrow and lasting intimate friendship.
