I'm Pete, as of 24/01/2024 I am 64, single & since the 21st April 2023 I took early retirement from local government within a district council.

I am seeking a lady with a curvasious or fuller figure initially for friendship, hopefully leading to a long term relationship. I enjoy coastal walks, birds, butterflies, classical music plus general 60's & 70's music combined with intelligent conversation.

I have an unusually dry sense of humour complemented with a dash of cynicism & sarcasm. I have two motorbikes & a car. Back in 2016 I started learning to play the guitar & just recently the Ukalele. Through playing the guitar I became Interested in classical music, which then led me to watch classical music concerts; that being the Plymouth & Bournemouth Symphony Orchestras. I also have interests in Astronomy, local history & spirituality. I don't watch much TV apart from Motorbike racing, GB news , University Challenge, old b/w films on channel 82, Sky Arts channel 36 & Police documentaries.

My proudest acheivment was giving up smoking 30 yrs ago, of which I still find it hard to believe. I probably come across as "old fashioned" but I prefer to think of myself as a traditionalist.

What do you enjoy most about your current job?

I work outdoors in some of the most scenic parts of South Devon & over the years I have met some really lovely people & I wouldn't swap it for anything.

What are your favourite leisure activities?

Learning to play the guitar and ukalele. Watching the Plymouth & Bournemouth Symphony Orchestras. Riding my Motorbikes throughout the Southwest but not at the same time lol. I also enjoy attending spiritual meetings. Astronomy, coastal walks, flower & fauna. Listening to music.

Where in the world are your favourite places?

The truth is I have never been abroad, whether it's a fear of flying but I have always wanted to go to Italy & visit ancient Roman buildings

Where in the world would you love to visit?

Italy, Egypt. In 2026 there will be a total solar eclipse & it will be in a direct path over the Pyramids. That will be a truly amazing spectacle.

What would you do on an ideal date?

Meet for a coffee or in my case a hot chocolate lol & get know each other

What are you looking for in a partner?

A woman with the same or similar interests, preferably she doesn't smoke & is a light or a non drinker

What makes a good relationship?

Give & take, helping each other, consideration to each others needs.

What makes you laugh?

Laurel & Hardy, The Fast show, League of Gentlemen, Dad's Army, Blackadder, Family Guy. Lucile Ball, Jack Benny, Charlie Williams, Bernard Manning & the present Conservative cabinet

What music do you like?

The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Classic Motown, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Roy Wood, ELO, T Rex, most 60's & 70's. As for todays music i like Cherry Ghost, Richard Ashcroft, Richard Hauley, Nine Below Zero & King Tuft.

What has been the highlight of your life so far?

Still being healthy, spending precious time with my mother

Hopefully meeting my future partner & retiring in four years
