About AlexanderTheGreat
AlexanderTheGreat is divorced and is seeking females for friendship or a casual relationship or a serious relationship.
I would love to meet someone caring, honest and like minded. I do have a problem though - I can drive but I do not own a car, so distance is a problem. If there is a way to overcome this I would welcome it. I am becoming slightly disabled, but am facing it the best way I know.
What do you like most about where you currently live?
I don't much like the area I'm in. Not my choice, but the very few people I've met appear genuine and friendly.
What are your favourite leisure activities?
If I had a creative bone in my body I would be open to anything new, within reason. Just lately, due to THAT virus, things haven't exactly been very lively. I dabble ineffectively at a music keyboard and photography. I DID try scenic drawing with some results but my friend Arthur Itis got the better of me ;-)
Where in the world are your favourite places?
My favourite place is Bath, where I used to live many moons ago. I would like to re-visit Scotland for a holiday, mostly anywhere on the west coast.
Where in the world would you love to visit?
Scotland, Ireland, Cornwall, Wales, the Lake District and the Peak District. If went abroad I would like to visit Canada and/or the Pacific Islands.
What would you do on an ideal date?
Genuinely try to get to know someone and be happy with that person.
What are you looking for in a partner?
Honesty. I don't think I'm good looking, I am not a good catch and have a lot that is NOT in my favour, so I cannot expect good looks or much else in return. I would like someone who genuinely cares about people and about life. A kind, understanding person would be nice, and I will try to match that as much as I can. I just can't offer the moon at the moment. I CAN make people laugh on the odd, rare occasion though, for example read the bit about my future hopes in life. (See below when you get to it!)
Oh yes - and I would like someone who HATES TV SOAPS. That was a factor in my marriage break-up, and I can't go down that road (or street!)
What makes a good relationship?
Compatibility helps. But I truly believe in a willingness to try hard, get stuck in and a real desire to make it work mutually. But I think I'm overoptimistic on that score (:o(
What makes you laugh?
I don't think I know as I've been alone for a very long time. The unexpected can make me laugh enough to shatter glass. Also, I believe if I lived with a happy person with a sense of humour. I would try to match that.
What music do you like?
I either like or dislike most kinds of music so I really don't mind. Some screechy opera voices get on my nerves a bit, but there again there is good opera too. I like a lot of unusual musical sounds, but I'll go for anything with a lot of guitar music, and I like funny songs too.
What has been the highlight of your life so far?
My (now ex) family which is very large. I crumbled a lot after four of them died. I had one spectacular holiday in 2009 in Southwest Australia which had its ups and downs.
What are you looking forward to in the future?
My ideal will of course never happen, but I live in hope, and that is: I want to live to at LEAST 117 years old and be shot by a jealous husband };o) The rest of my future would be nice as long as it would be pain-free, happy and to have a good person to share it with and for her to be happy too.
Does my ideal person really exist or am I just living in hope? Where have I left the remote for the TV?
Still looking for the ideal person. The remote is within view all the time as I live in a very small flat.
