It's not easy describing myself but here goes...
I am not a girly type of girl. Girl is probably not the word at 70 (how did that happen, lol). I feel more comfortable dressing casually and don't even own a dress!

I like walks in the countryside / at the seaside / by a river, or a drink in a quiet pub where we can hear each other speak. I love an evening in, cuddled up on the sofa, with a bottle of wine, a good film and good company. My favourite day out would have to be the zoo (ok, I'm just a big kid, lol).

My friends say I have a great sense of humour, but let's be honest, they are my friends so probably would say that, lol. It's up to you to decide!

Face to face, I am quite shy until I get to know someone.

My music tastes are very varied and change depending on my mood or the situation. The only types of music I don't really like are opera and jazz.

I gave up smoking September 2018, so now consider myself as a non smoker. It was easier than I thought. I am also a bit overweight. It's is sooo true about an increased appetite on giving up smoking! Oh and lockdowns of course. I'm afraid living on a lettuce leaf isn't me, lol. Not really selling myself am I, lol.

Who am I looking for?...
Someone caring, loving and who can make me laugh, enjoys a cuddle and holding hands. Is as happy staying in as going out.

You need to be 100% honest (in other words don't lie, you will get found out!) and 100% faithful (which I don't think is too much to ask). You will be happy to see me as me.

I'm looking to be friends first, take things slowly, then see what happens. I don't want to rush in to anything so meeting after a couple of quick chats isn't for me. I don't have my own transport so I am looking for someone fairly local to me. Somewhere I can get to easily, so the travel to see each other isn't one sided. Bedford or St Neots would be ideal, as I live roughly halfway between the two. I'm afraid that even Sandy & Biggleswade, while quite near, are not places I could get to easily without using 2 buses (going all round Wills mums as my gran used to say) or a bus then train.

I really don't want to get in to the "I've got a car" "I will drive to you" comments. My decision on local only is based on past experience. Can I just say…….. If we get chatting and you decide I’m not for you, that’s ok. I am an adult (in years anyway, lol) so I’m pretty sure I will cope. But please be honest & actually tell me rather than just stop messaging, which really is a bit rude. If I don't think you're for me I will say so, as I think honesty is best.
