About Biotica
Biotica is widowed and is seeking females for friendship.
I CANNOT see 'LIKES' so please message me
I have a main 'retirement' home in North Wales where I relocated to in December 2021, but I still have a place in Lincoln, so spend time at both places.
I, am easy-going and not pushy by nature, and still being relatively new to the area have still to find a niche, enough things to do, and someone to do them with.
As carer for my partner over many years I had purpose in life as well as a holiday companion; and combined with a full time job I had no reason to look for anything else. Best laid plans left me purpose-less however as she passed away just after I retired and a matter of weeks before securing our 'dream' of a sea view retirement in Wales.
Two years on 'solo' and 'single' isn't working for me.
...I'm working on it but as a single male who's not into sport, doesn't drink and hasn't had need to socialise, it's not easy! I'm not one for cinemas, theatres (noise and bright lights) or crowds. I favour scenic walks, a nice beach, people watching, a comfy chair - or new places and hands on projects.
Taste in music, depends upon the mood but quiet works as well.
I'm still looking for that peaceful (but useful) niche and new friends; and if I'm fortunate enough, someone special.
I relax a bit more than I used to but still prefer not to stay at home with my feet up. Don't get me wrong though; gardening passes the time but I still like a bit of adventure, new places, things to do and places to explore. I favour the natural rather than the built environment, prefer the sea and usually holiday near it.
A travel companion would be nice, someone who is adventurous but not overactive. Someone of similar age who is looking for the modest pleasures of home, one on one time. A travel companionship. Someone who routinely looks after herself without going over the top.
I am not a pet person outside of having some fish in a pond that don't seem to mind me going off on holidays; so if your madly animal passionate and have more than one pet then perhaps add it to any other reason you might see in my profile for giving me a miss. If, on the other hand, you think the time in life is right to get back to 'own' and one on one, rather than 'dependents' time, then perhaps consider getting in touch.
MESSAGE me though please, I don't respond to 'Winks' or 'Meet Me's' and don't know who 'Likes' are coming from.
What do you like most about where you currently live?
The views, but alone my house is not a home.
What do you enjoy most about your current job?
I'm recently retired having spent many years in public service along with a smattering of manufacture, industry and countryside work. It was always a challenge and never enough time to get bored, always someone to help.
What are your favourite leisure activities?
A good book, travel & holidays. I like the open rather than the built environment, beside the sea by preference.
Where in the world are your favourite places?
I like the rugged English coastline and sandy beaches but travel further afield nowadays. The South of France, the Canaries, Egypt and Mexico are on my revisit list but I like new places so whilst I do repeat visits - they aren't regular.
Where in the world would you love to visit?
The Maldives, New Zealand, Austria, Norway.
What would you do on an ideal date?
A stroll on the beach and a nice meal, watch the sun set or better still stay up to watch it rise.
What are you looking for in a partner?
Someone who is caring and wants to be cared for.
What makes a good relationship?
Stability without boredom; creating opportunity and occasion for variety and spice.
What makes you laugh?
The same as most people - mishaps, kids antics, a good cleanish comedy and joke.
What music do you like?
Most anything - 'Enya' can suit most moods played loudly or softly but I'm not averse to the Black Eyed Peas or Beathovens Fifth.
What has been the highlight of your life so far?
Seeing that my grown up kids are settled and happy and them telling me that they now know that whilst I wasn't the perfect father, that I wasn't the bad guy that was painted thirty years ago.
What are you looking forward to in the future?
A happy life and rest of life partnership
