Hi! Just thought I'd give this a go. I am a warm-hearted, educated, wacky woman! I'm a retired teacher but no fuddy duddy! I'm at a time in my life where I can at last focus on myself and live life to the full. There are many more adventures to be had. So looking for someone with a bit of craic who can rival my banter!

What do you like most about where you currently live?

l love living in a village and yet am a few miles from the sea one way and near the pretty market town of Beverley.

What do you enjoy most about your current job?

l was a secondary school teacher and am now involved in mentoring/counselling pupils who have difficulties both learning and behavioural in a mainstream school.

What are your favourite leisure activities?

l love music with a passion and enjoy going to the local theatres;meeting up with friends;countryside walks/bike rides and shaking my tail feathers now and again.

Where in the world are your favourite places?

l love Yorkshire as it's such a diverse county and love the magical and wild beauty of Donegal.

Where in the world would you love to visit?

l would like to see more of the coutries in Europe especially ltaly and Norway.

What would you do on an ideal date?

l would usually go for lunch or a drink which gives enough time to see if there is any connection or mutual attraction.

What are you looking for in a partner?

l'd like to meet a like-minded man who can flourish with me and who allows me,warts and all,to flourish too.A man who lets me be me and delights in it and vice versa.l am an upbeat,positive,fun and open minded person who is kind,reflective,articulate and inclusive and would look for some of those qualities in a partner.Oh and did l mention generous of spirit? :)

What makes a good relationship?

lt has to be trust and understanding and not being controlling. Why do so many people want to change the other?

What makes you laugh?

l love dry wit and humour and laugh at my own stupidity sometimes.

What music do you like?

Where do l begin! Creedence,Canned Heat,Led Zep,ZZ Top,the great Jimi,Soul,Terence Trent D'Arby,Bastille,Rory Gallagher,Sam and Dave,Howlin'Wolf,Paul Brady,Natalie Merchant,Nick Drake...l could write for hours and still not get them all in!

What has been the highlight of your life so far?

l've had a few and hoping for at least one more.

What are you looking forward to in the future?

l really dislike filling in these boxes as don't belong in boxes and l make my own path through life and take things in my stride but it would be lovely to have a partner in crime and walk the road less travelled. l do enjoy watching my family flourish and look forward to more short breaks and making more quality time for myself for a change.
