What do you like most about where you currently live?

Very kind and friendly neighbours, great Country views, and being only 2 miles from the Sea and 1/2 a mile from Strangford Loch, yet only a short drive to the Town.

What do you enjoy most about your current job?

I am now retired but I enjoyed my 35 years as a civil engineer for Bradford District Council,but I now volunteer 1 day a week at The drop in Centre in Newtownards to help those slightly less fortunate people who need a bit of help, and have maybe just taken a wrong turn in their lives somewhere along the way, it’s very humbling to witness their gratitude for the help they receive.

What are your favourite leisure activities?

Trips out in my camper van, and just being able to pack the van up and set off for a few nights away for a different adventure, making sure there is a bottle of red and chocolate in the van.!!
Keeping fit, walking my dog, keeping my house and garden tidy, I am not ocd but I do like a tidy ship as the saying goes.
Playing the drums, much to my neighbours annoyance, no they love it really Lol.
I am a member of a local cycling club and enjoy the banter on the rides out.
I try to get to local live music performances, as I have great respect to people who can sing or play a instrument well.

Where in the world are your favourite places?

I am not great with very hot parts of the World, and my favourite few places are Switzerland, Bavaria, Sweden, and
Austria.

Where in the world would you love to visit?

I would like to visit New York City. and the Pirenese Mountain Range, but mostly Switzerland it is such a clean and inspiring part of the World.

What would you do on an ideal date?

I would be happy to go along with whatever the Lady would like to do, as long as it’s not bungee jumping, but a nice walk coffee and cake, or lunch would be great to be able get to know each other.

What are you looking for in a partner?

A down to earth, thoughtful, caring person, where we could look after each other, and not feel like we have to impress each other all the time, and to be at ease with each other.

What makes a good relationship?

To be able to love, care, respect, and look after each other, through good and not so good times.

What makes you laugh?

My dog when he tries to get into the camper van, so I don’t leave him behind.
Many things really.

What music do you like?

Anything I can play my drums to, but not too fast or loud.
No heavy metal, but other than that anything played live is usually my cup of tea.

What has been the highlight of your life so far?

Being married to my beautiful Late wife for 20 great years, until her passing.
Having a very kind and caring Son.
Being lucky enough to represent my County in 2 different sports, and staying relatively fit,and healthy.

What are you looking forward to in the future?

Spending time with a like minded person, and just enjoying time together however that may be , and staying fit and healthy.
