Time for an update. Although why I would fill out the description in any detail I really do not know because so few bother, so you send a message enquiring and it's promptly ignored. Stealth dating.

My category would be casual/no commitment and friendship. Laid back, easy going, open minded, non judgemental. Travel, food, photography, astrology, tarot (reading yes and i will do that).

I work in IT for a large firm but the above interest may turn into a career.

If you want to have a chat, go ahead! I don't bite, I am not a stalker / obsessive, life is to be enjoyed and lived, being a survivor of cancer I'm all too aware life is not a rehearsal!

What do you like most about where you currently live?

Near my parents who are getting older, its fairly quiet, neighbours are friendly, quiet, peaceful.

What do you enjoy most about your current job?

Varied and challenging, get a little travel with it, meet interesting people, challenging work sometimes, made some good friends.

What are your favourite leisure activities?

Photography, music, listening to, podcasts (ask!) mooching round car boots, eBaying, some TV, some films, relaxing, concerts, meals out.

Where in the world are your favourite places?

Key West, Bahamas, Orkney, Scotland, London, Spain generally, Amsterdam, New England. Mexico. Lapland. Probably more I've not been to yet. Update: Iceland was fab but expensive, Did New York too. Tenerife was great too. Cape Town and South Africa generally very nice. Botswana okavango delta is stunning safari area.

Where in the world would you love to visit?

Japan. Possibly Australia, maybe India. Egypt. Philippines. Hawaii

What would you do on an ideal date?

A coffee or a drink in a quiet pub or cafe, or park (I'll bring a flask or call a coffee shop) chat, see how we get on, see where things lead or just leave as friends. That is assuming the emails haven't left you comatose.

What are you looking for in a partner?

Understanding empathy, friendship, just be themselves. HONESTY, openness.

What makes a good relationship?

Honesty and trust, and being yourself, true to your self. Openness, acceptance. Being 50/50 and equal.

What makes you laugh?

Come Dine With Me, Peter Kay, little britain, monty python. Lots more. Shameless isn't really a comedy but funny.

What music do you like?

Pat metheny, yello, many lots wide and varied, pink floyd... zeppelin... Alan Parsons... Camel... Klaus Schulze, Paul Simon, Peter Gabriel, Genesis, Anita Baker, John Foxx, George Michael, Jam and Spoon and related works, Vangelis, Yellow Magic Orchestra (Ryuichi Sakamoto), Mike Oldfield, Coldplay, Tori Amos, Tears for Fears. Lots more.

What has been the highlight of your life so far?

Quite a few things, some places I've been too, some things I have done in work (designing and supporting life critical systems)

What are you looking forward to in the future?

Being content and happy, being myself, letting others be themselves, and NO STRESS.
