Right then here we go,
Profile rules are No using sexual references, No swear words and No contact details not that I would.
I imagine from what I've read that some guys have pretty short profiles, am I right ?
Well I'll follow Freedatings' guidance on profile writing, on your marks.
Briefly, I had a good upbringing, and I'd describe myself as old school in my approach to life but not one to completely dismiss the modern world. I attained a professional qualification after six years of day release, had a good career and lady luck shone her light on me and I managed to get a very early retirement, sixteen years of which I lived in France. I came back to the UK in December 2022 with my now sixteen year old cat who's outlived the two rescue dogs I had in France. Just couldn't leave her behind. I now have another rescue dog. I also came back with a leg problem which doesn't stop me from doing most things, long hikes are not really on but I can still play a bit of badminton when not trying to train my dog.
I thought that coming home would be a piece of cake, but 2023 was not easy.
But hey ho things are now ok, except that I would like a lady partner in crime as I know very few people here and it would be really good to get to know and get out and enjoy life with someone special.
As life is for most people it hasn't always been a bowl of Cherries, more like a fruit salad with the odd thing mixed in that you don't really want. Well that's life :-) and I've managed to retained my sense of humour. I can be quite funny at times when I get to know you. Though there are a few areas where joking or taking the mickey just isn't on.
I'm always open to new ideas, I keep an eye on what's happening in the world. I enjoy coast and country, towns are fine for the essentials and visiting.
Music, I like most types and as with books I'll have sessions now and again of indulging. I can't really say that I'm fanatical about any one pastime there are so many. In France I did a lot of DIY,renovation, recycling old furniture, landscaping, demolishing and re building, and my piece de resistance was searching and using pallets to build a sort of deck with end structures, one supporting a bench seat and the other a place for plants. A fabric roof
provided protection from the sun, you know that round hot thing that sometime makes an appearance. Not showing off, I'm not an expert I just enjoyed doing it all .
I would say that I'm a normal everyday type of person that can go anywhere, can talk and mix with all sorts and doesn't need to be kept on a tight leash or muzzled or handcuffed. I can speak without every sentence beginning ending or including F ing or what have you except one or two have been known to slip out when I've bashed my thumb with a hammer or when hanging out of a first floor window whilst holding on to le volet ( shutter ).
I'm not Mr perfect, but who is ?
Well, that's all for now, look forward to contacting / hearing from you and if I don't reply please don't be offended it's just that I don't feel that we would match.
