I hope I'm mainly positive, smart, reliable, kind and empathic and fortunate too. I'm very curious and patient, and so fhave many fascinating activities/interests such as the the study of happiness and mindfulness.

I love observing, engaging, and nurturing people, especially my family and friends. I often mimic them too. Animals are precious and interesting too, especially birds with their small but astonishing brains. And house plants; my house abounds with them!

I'm so lucky to have visited many parts of N/S and Cent America, S/E Asia and Europe and enjoy their diverse flora, fauna and cultures, often with my son. My modest Spanish lets me mingle well in Hispanic countries; I found Cuba outstanding due to its people's courage, dignity and non-stop dancing!! I'll soon be visiting S/E Asia again near where I was once fed peeled grapes!!

I read 'classics' for fiction, psychology, neuro-science/neurology for smart stuff, and then agonise about 'world affairs' such as equality, the environment etc as well. I revel in wacko stuff (cartoonists) and admire film directors such as Loach, Kubrick, Lean and others..most of all, the one who made Tom and Jerry?

I hunger for anything creative and enlightening, so ...neuro-science, psychology, philosophy, technology, painting, sculpting, drawing (esp Leonardo, da Vinci NOT diCaprio!) and so on,

But music is the thing, from classical/opera, 'country', folk, to blues, jazz and flamenco but ANY music really. I play a bit of flamenco/classical guitar, to the horror of all guitar teachers and a suggestion to take up the tambourine! My recent guitar making in Spain has led to beautiful 'Carolina', you can see in my photo. I hope you have your own music to tell me about. You might even teach me to dance salsa or tango! So we'd have many tales to relate.

Karate/Ju-jitsu are now just a memory (as are the bruises) but I still exercise hard and regularly in a gym. My photos were all taken in the last 4 months except the one shared with my Greek friend.
