About H4lfcut
H4lfcut is divorced and is seeking females for friendship or a casual relationship or a serious relationship.
I’m a homebody who enjoys running, road cycling and mountain biking.
I non-competitively do one hard race each year and occasional crazy moments in between. Last month, just for fun, was Snowdon from Llanberis and back down in 2hrs 4mins.
I’m jovial, energetic, enthusiastic, reliable, honest, empathetic and compassionate. Know that whole food trumps fast food, culture beats crass and substance outstrips style. I never quite complete projects. Like a tidy house but class it as a project. Like to clean it, definitely not a project. Don’t beat myself up about missing some aims. Know that the end is where we’ve got to and the future is the choice we’re making now. Introverted but not shy. More of a loner with a small handful of good friends than a social butterfly. Corner dweller at parties. Old fashioned manners. Modern ethics. Not partial about humanity preferring humans to classifications. Overdrawn at the bank of paying it forward. Not carrying a suitcase. Lover of pithy quips and a keen observer of people and irony, often related.
A few of the mottos that I live by:
- People who stay calm make better decisions.
- Try harder, I don’t care what you’re doing, but try harder.
- The person who has the last word in an argument is never the winner.
- I don’t like being wrong, but I’m happy to admit it.
Music I’m listening to: Penguin Cafe (similar to but distinct from The Penguin Cafe Orchestra, actually that composers son), Professor Kliq (digital funk), Zero 7 (downtempo electro pop often in collaboration), Savant (hard techno funk), the odd throwback to my younger years which currently includes Morrissey’s Viva Hate and The Cult Electric, Tubular Bells often comes out for a tour on the treadmill, Fink (modern folk), Café Del Mar-esque chill out (never actually been). It’s quite eclectic really but tends to be more digital than analogue and also now, reminiscent of my DJing days and having finally found an accurate digital turntable, I’ve just started re-teaching myself to scratch.
I only watch occasional TV plus the news but I can smash out a quality series in short shrift with the best of them when they’re available. I like thrillers and mysteries most, the latest of which being Slow Horses. It’s maybe the best bit of television that I’ve seen since Inside No9 and Black Mirror.
I’m not well travelled but open to encouragement, though activity and places of interest based rather than lounging around suits me more.
I have two daughters, 9 and 11, who stay every other weekend and I see regularly besides that.
For the avoidance of doubt “Doesn’t want kids” just means new kids. Second hand kids are cool.
I’m looking for a slow start meeting on occasion to build a friendship hopefully becoming a relationship and definitely not rushing into each other’s pockets. I’m just as happy to find short term romance but hopeful to find a lasting answer so very open to weighting the time I have in favour of a connection and expecting that to only grow.
Such occasions could be, the theatre for a play, or a run or ride (they’re free :-) or a gig somewhere small to medium sized like Band On The Wall or The Sugar Mill rather than an arena.
Meeting for a coffee or a light lunch would be a good starter.
(Own house and car, steady job, proudly self sufficient and not materialistic)
