Now retired. I used to work as a complaints investigator in a government service, which is more interesting than it sounds.
In one morning I took over and dealt with an escalated (shouting) phone call, and had to return a call to a threatened suicide.
The trick was, to get both relaxed and laughing by the end of the call.

Music was my first love. (-Hey, good idea for a lyric!)
I've played guitar since I was 15, and like to compose and record my own music, when I have the time.

I've had my first two books published (one non-fiction, one fiction).
I'm getting notes together for the next about the birth of life and the development of civilisation on this planet.
But I intend to take a wacky look at it, and try to get humour into everything. It might end up as a novel.
I use this as an excuse to walk the hills and travel to far away places. - It's research, darling, honest!

And lastly, I'm looking for the secret of existence, and the universe. And I _will_ find it.

- What am I looking for in a woman?

Curiosity, daring, non-conformism, intellectual stimulation.
(We don't need to mention the rest do we;-)
I need someone who will explore a castle with me, walk hand-in-hand through the countryside, discuss the shape of the universe, get excited at Christmas crackers, cuddle up in the evening and pretend no-one else exists in the world except us two.

I am not looking for:
A soap-watcher, a boozer, a time-waster, a flirt.

I'm just looking for my equal, my soul-mate, my destiny.
(-I can't believe I just wrote that.)
