Hi, thank you for checking me out. I am a design Engineer by trade and worked abroad a great deal, l retired a number of years ago to take up my love of oil painting. I like to travel and see new places and cultures as l am a inquisitive person. I am pretty easy going, honest caring, well mannered and thoughtful, well I try to be lol. I like to socialize as l am pretty outgoing once l get to know people, I love the out doors, wild life, animals and anything to do with nature. I enjoy visiting art galleries, country houses, going to a concert, the theatre and eating out. It’s so nice to do all of these things when you have some one to do them with. Friends would be good to start with, but it would be nice if it moved on to something more serious, but we just have to let nature take its course and see where it goes.

What do you like most about where you currently live?

I live in a wonderful rural village in Cumbria just outside the Lake District National Park where the people are friendly, the scenery is amazing, its like heaven waking up every day.

What do you enjoy most about your current job?

I am retired but I keep myself busy by spending my days painting which I regard as my job.

What are your favourite leisure activities?

I like to paint, watch YouTube videos to learn more about things I find interesting, like learning to paint better, history, nature, wild life, general knowledge, new inventions as I was a design engineer before retiring. Travel which I do frequently, I try to spend up to half a year abroad if possible. I like gardening, getting involved in local charity projects. I also like photography but not very good at it, still learning.

Where in the world are your favourite places?

At the moment Montenegro, which up to a couple of years ago I had never heard of and now I spend quite some time over there.

Where in the world would you love to visit?

I would love to visit Japan, Indonesia and New Zealand.

What would you do on an ideal date?

I would like to meet up for a drink in a pub and possibly a bite to eat followed by a stroll. I think meeting for a drink for the first time helps to relax the situation, I know it would me ha ha. I think also if two people are not suited, it will come to the for front pretty quickly and then it doesn't put pressure on either side if you want to call it a day politely.

What are you looking for in a partner?

I am looking for some one who is intelligent, can have a laugh and a joke with, doesn't take themselves to seriously. Likes to travel, enjoys eating out, going away for a weekends, socialising. Be great if they were arty too, but not really that important. Enjoys cooking as I do, doesn't smoke, likes the outdoors. I prefer slim to medium size women, I don't mean to offend anyone.

What makes a good relationship?

Honesty, compassion, consideration and affection. If both of you can give all of these, you must be a long way towards having a great relationship.

What makes you laugh?

All sorts of things, but I don't like comedy that needs fowl language to get a laugh. I like things like the two Ronnie's, Rowen Atkinson, Peter Kay, Only Fools and Horses, Michael McIntyre.

What music do you like?

All sorts, from popular, new country, Irish, trad Jazz, blues, some opera, like Katherine Jenkins.

What has been the highlight of your life so far?

So many things, seeing my two daughters born, being gifted with an art talent, having the skills to be able to bring people together for the good of others.

To find a soul mate and a best friend to share the rest of my life with..
