Hi, I'm a "normal" guy who has been alone now for over seven years. I've not divorced, the reasons for which I'm happy to share at some point, but for now...she lives 500 miles away and I've not seen her for over 7 years so rest assured, it is over LOL. Anyway... Do you ever feel like you are wasted being on your own? I do! So much to give and share? That's me as well! As time passes I've got used to being on my own, but every now and then I find myself wondering "is this it?". Opening up, I miss the everyday stuff, being able to chat, being a part of something that matters to two people, actually being trusted with another's feelings!. The one thing you need to know about me is I'll not be looking to change you, to me that is so important, if we were to hit it off on meeting, why would I want to change you? I also have a thing about loyalty and trust, not just in relationships of the kind I'm looking for, but in all ways. All a bit soft, I know, but I don't think there is anything wrong with that. In an ideal world I would like to meet a strong woman who knows her own mind and does not suffer in silence. Nobody, to my mind, never says the wrong thing and that includes me, I'm not perfect. So being able to talk about "issues" is so important. I said at the start, a normal guy, one who wants to meet a woman and start to enjoy the future and I believe the best part of enjoyment is being able to share it with someone special. Add on..by the way, i can laugh just in case the above came across as a bit serious. Can I just add? Please, if you write, but then decide I'm not for you, have the common curtesy to say so and not just ignore or block me. That has happened twice on here and I just find it really rude, not only that but it plays on my mind that I may have said something wrong and that's not a very nice thought for me to have.

What do you like most about where you currently live?

Lots to do and can also find space to get away.

What do you enjoy most about your current job?

Use to enjoy working with people I liked but now retired.

What are your favourite leisure activities?

Watching Rugby,visiting new places. Friday/Saturday...a good pub with a good band.

Where in the world are your favourite places?

Italy, loved my visit there.

Where in the world would you love to visit?

Anywhere with warm evenings!

What would you do on an ideal date?

Captivate and mesmerise with my good looks and humour? Failing that? No plan B

What are you looking for in a partner?

Somebody who would be happy with who I am, was sure of what they want. Can't stand moaners or worse, people who suffer in silence!

What makes a good relationship?

Never sulking and speaking up if there is an issue. Listening and showing you care every day. Being able to laugh together.

What makes you laugh?

Usually an unexpected stupid comment. Love stand up.

What music do you like?

Most types. Two tone, Ska etc. but never quite got what Jazz is about.

What has been the highlight of your life so far?

Has to be my Grand Children, if you have any, I need not say more!

What are you looking forward to in the future?

Retirement and the time to do what I want, when I want and now living the dream!
