Do you think these type of sites bring the best out in people, it would seem not but maybe there is someone with substance out there!

I am a very down to earth retired airline captain and now occasional aviation consultant, although it wasn’t always that way because at school they told me in writing, in between caning me regularly, that I was wasting my time and theirs but I proved them wrong, eventually.

I’ve always trod my own path and at 15, while I should have been at school, unknown to my parents, I joined a circus as a ring boy. I refused to take O or A levels and to cut a very long story short I retired a few years ago as a former Heathrow based Airbus A321 captain. What happened in between is quite a story, I still cannot believe it myself but it did include giving Richard Branson his first flying lesson and being told by Whitney Houston’s manager never to make eye contact with her!

A few people have told me that I must have made all of this up so I apologise for being aspirational and truthful and attempting to make something of my life, strange how that seems to offend some people.

Are you a nice sincere warm person? I like to think I am, I certainly try to be although I am a little eccentric and quirky. I prefer mature people who are young at heart. I enjoy conversation so I do appreciate people who have something to say! I value loyality.

I live in a 200 year old cottage in a secluded area, a hamlet. I have varied interests including horticulture and gardening, not much choice with an acre of garden, although a large section is a wildlife meadow. If you have wellington boots and a spade, I think I would like you very much

I am very much a people person and I am laid back and do not get involved in arguments. I would describe myself as down to earth, non pretentious, caring, very sensual and very tactile.

I ride motorcycles occasionally and I once owned a motorcycle training school.

I have a great sense of humor, that’s why I am here but don’t forget, if at first you don’t succeed, skydiving may not be for you.
