I'm recently single after the best part of 25 years and a little bit 'shell shocked' by it.

I'm a writer, broadcaster, musician and VERY occasional actor. I've recently completed my first commissioned screenplay for a feature-length film which has just wrapped in Canada.

I'm looking to meet someone who is interesting, intelligent, open-minded and has a good imagination (to bounce script ideas off! :-) )

I don't wish to stand on anyone's toes but I'm not looking to meet anyone with children. Nothing wrong with children but they're not for me.

I would like to meet a smoker although I don't smoke myself.

I don't drink but, once again, I don't have a problem with meeting someone who does.

Distance isn't really a problem as I have transport and anyway, initially at least, I want to talk online. I'm not looking to step straight into another 'heavy' relationship right from the get-go. Let's get to know each other first!

Plenty of space and a quiet neighbourhood.

I work from home so I can keep whatever hours I please! :-)

Meeting up with friends, a good meal... nothin' fancy...

Where in the world are your favourite places?

North Wales, Shetland Islands, San Francisco

Where in the world would you love to visit?

Somewhere remote and extreme - the Sahara Desert or the Antarctic.

What would you do on an ideal date?

Talk and of course LISTEN. Go for something to eat...

What are you looking for in a partner?

A lack of complications and that's about it really.

What makes a good relationship?

Talking, listening and caring.

What makes you laugh?

I like wit. Groucho Marx, Oscar Wilde, Noel Coward et al.

What music do you like?

Run the gamut really... Anything from Albinoni to Zappa.

What has been the highlight of your life so far?

Getting one of my screenplays produced as a feature film, producing a successful documentary and keeping alive...

What are you looking forward to in the future?

Meeting 'the one'...
