Average looking dude looking for a friend for correspondence, or maybe more if local to me, but on an infrequent basis as I have quite a busy life. I have a great sense of humour, although a little zany at times. I'm one of those quiet people who doesn't enjoy group activities; I prefer one to one chats. I like being out with my dogs and I like travel. My favourite thing is multi-day walking and cycling trips; I used to camp in the hills but I'm getting too old for that, so hotels now. What more can I say? Oh yes; I'm afraid of water and so I can't swim. But yes, I do wash.

What do you like most about where you currently live?

It is quiet and with good cycling facilities so I can go for miles without seeing a car.

What do you enjoy most about your current job?

I'm retired and loving it.

What are your favourite leisure activities?

I walk, I cycle, I read, I travel and I look at old machinery.

Where in the world are your favourite places?

I love most places I go and I don't want to come back. I've been to South East Asia, India, USA, extensively in Europe. But really you can't beat the UK for variety and you don't have to go through an airport to get there.

Where in the world would you love to visit?

Japan and Oz and South America, which are places I have not yet visited.

What would you do on an ideal date?

Tea shop. I am a tea shop junkie.

What are you looking for in a partner?

A great sense of humour and open minded without her brain falling out.

What makes you laugh?

Monty Python. Old I know but you can't beat it.

What music do you like?

I'm not really a great music fan, but rock generally.
