What do you like most about where you currently live?

P & Q and safety. I live in a tiny cottage(c.1645) in North Leeds situated on a huge farm.

What do you enjoy most about your current job?

I regard myself as 'semi-retired' as, at times. I take up seasonal contract work. This situation suits me financially and allows me time to write creatively (plays). I am, in modern parlance a 'people person' whose honed skill in dealing with and entertaining the general public whilst in holiday mode is highly prized and valued. The job without the people would be like taking a picture in the pitch dark!

What are your favourite leisure activities?

I enjoy the countryside - in particular with a backdrop of mountains. I love animals and, over the years, have had dogs and cats as pets. My late wife taught me about gardening and it delights me still. I am extremely skilled in D.I.Y. I cook and alter recipes to fit my taste buds and those of friends. I enjoy a ten pin bowling session with friends and a meal afterwards with a good chinwag. I used to really enjoy ice skating [ skated since I was 8 ] but it's not the same unaccompanied. I do listen to music and my taste is a bit old fashioned but nonetheless eclectic. ... AND, of course, I enjoy the creative 'buzz' of writing.

Where in the world are your favourite places?

Saint Petersburg, Russia, Vienna and Saltzburg, Austria. Paris, France.

Where in the world would you love to visit?

Iceland - the land of ice and fire.

What would you do on an ideal date?

Take a river cruise and watch the world go by while getting to know one another. Theater in the evening followed by a meal to showcase the occasion would be my idea of an ideal date.

What are you looking for in a partner?

Brightness, self-confidence, sophistication and a sparkling mind; essentially the key to my lock.

What makes a good relationship?

Compromise, honesty, loyalty, and unfailing support and love.

What makes you laugh?

Man - and Woman - 'put under the microscope'. The bullet-like turn of phrase : ' what oft was thought but ne'er so well expressed'..unquote.

What music do you like?

Most popular songs and music up to 1970. Some classical including Rachmaninoff and accordion music from the Belle Epoque up until the 1950s. Carols .

What has been the highlight of your life so far?

Without question, my work in France and Austria as a Tour Guide. Second to that, completing my comic novel [ sadly unpublished, but extant nonetheless.]

What are you looking forward to in the future?

Ideally 'resetting' myself to a 'normal' life - id est, a married one.
